Power steering hose kits to fit any Chevy LS Swap

This power steering hose kit is great for nearly any LS swapped Chevy

General Motors has two power steering pump styles the LS swap crowd will encounter most often: The "canned ham" P-Series and the Type-2 power steering pumps. The P-Series are found in trucks and the passenger cars have the Type-2 pumps.

What we want to draw attention to, however, are the fittings you'll use on your hoses, pumps, and gear boxes when completing your LS swaps. Around 1980, GM switched from SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard fittings to metric fittings on both their power steering pumps and gear boxes.

Why does this matter for LS swappers? Well, say you have a 1968 Chevelle you want to put an LS motor in. You'll end up having both SAE and metric parts under the same hood.

Kwik Performance's power steering hose kits solve this issue. We include:

  • Feed, pressure and return hoses, reinforced to handle pressures above standard operation
  • SAE Inverted flare to -6 AN fittings for gearboxes made pre-1979
  • Metric to -6 AN fittings for gearboxes made after 1980
  • 16mm "banjo" to -6 AN fittings for setups requiring hose re-routing
  • And all necessary worm drive clamps

These are the styles of fittings included

For a quick explainer, we have a short video for these power steering hose kits on our YouTube channel.

By including all the conversion fittings we've made this kit nearly universally applicable for any LS swap.

What about LT engine swaps? We've got those too, right here.
